THE AGE GROUP - A Boy may join
The
Anchor Boys as soon as he reaches his 5th birthday and at the end of
School Year 3 when aged 8 will be promoted into The Juniors.
WEEKLY
MEETINGS are held
in The Hall and Rooms at the rear of Hayes End Methodist Church in The
Uxbridge Road.Hayes.Middlesex every Friday during School Terms from
5.30pm until
6.45pm. Entrance to The Hall and Rooms is in
Church Close next to Church.
THE
EMPHASIS OF THE PROGRAMME is fun, which is under-pinned
by the Christian values of The Boys' Brigade. Activities include
sports, games, crafts, music, badge work, cookery, drama and
Christian
Education. Boys may also take part in various joint activities with
other Anchor Boy groups.
Also no evening would be
complete without our full Tuck Shop facilities.
JOINING
- At the moment we don't have a waiting list so we are in
a position to accept new members. We encourage Boys and Parents to come
along and see what happens at a normal Friday nights meeting. Then
after 2 weeks if a Boy decides to join The Anchor Boys he will
receive a "Welcome Pack" which includes a members application and
parental consent form plus a uniform order form and a copy of The
Anchor "Code of Behaviour".
Boys
who join The Anchor Boys are expected to attend the weekly meetings
regularly and our Church
Parades normally held six times a year. A High standard of behaviour
is required of all members and the Boys weekly subscription is 60p.
A welcome awaits all new members.
