4th Hillingdon Boy's Brigade Report

NEWS
We are pleased to report that the Company numbers continue to grow. As it stands today, Anchors have eight members, Juniors and Seniors have ten members each. We are blessed to have the support of eleven staff members. Unfortunately, two of our staff, Joe Joslin and Angela Lount have been unable to attend Boys Brigade regularly due to health issues; yet they brought smiles to everyone’s faces when they made it to our Christmas Party in December and we continue to pray for them. The Company also proudly announces of being in receipt of a grant from the Met Police which will be going towards buying new Gym and Basket Ball equipment, as well as helping to subsidise trips. Our first ‘BB on Sunday’ Service since reopening in September 2023, was held in December and attended by 11 of our Anchor/ Junior/ Senior Members. They enjoyed a period in Church, joining in with the Service before going into the Church Hall where they played games, made a Christmas Tree ornament that they took back into Church for the end of Service - to display to the congregation, before enjoying Pizza especially ordered for them as a fellowship meal after the memorable Sunday Service. We are also happy to report on the Battalion Games and Craft Afternoon held at Watts Hall Uxbridge - 1st Uxbridge BB Headquarters this month, where 8 Anchors / Juniors enjoyed participating as a team. UPCOMING EVENTS
MARCH - Seniors going to the Nest Climbing Experience in Hayes.

MAY - Open Night / Awards Evening Friday, 17th May 2024 6.30p.m. – 8.00p.m
An evening when the members get a chance to showcase activities undertaken on Fridays at Boys Brigade in the different age groups, and inviting the audience to join in where possible. Awards will then be presented to members followed by a Bring and Share Meal provided by all the company members. A number of Guests have been invited including a Boys Brigade Support Officer, Local Councillor, A.P. Taylor Trustee, Community Police Officer, and our very own Minister, Revd Ken Kingston.

JUNE - ‘BB on Sunday’ Service will be held on June 9th 2024 with the theme being - Teams.
